Please Identify this old scraper & will my MFWD tractor pull it?

Hi, I drug home a old cable scraper from a retired neighbors weedpatch, he claims it was a cat cable scraper that he converted to hydraulic, and pulled it with his D4. He said it would lift the front of the D4 off the ground when going up hill.

I brought it home, planning to put on all new hydraulic lines & Paint this winter, but I'm running low on time.

The cylinders don't leak, and rods aren't pitted, tires hold air, all grease zerks took grease----so that's a HUGE plus.

Proper hydraulic lines shouldn't be more than $500, and sandblasting & paint around $800 I'd Guess.


But before I get carried away fixing it up, I'd plan on pulling it with a fully weighted 200hp 4650 MFWD John deere......rebuilding waterways/skimming off dirt around the farm/carrying dirt from stock pile to holes around the farm. I'd probably wrap a chain around the 3 point down to the draw bar for safety. This is one of my main planting tractors so I don't want to be ripping any drawbars off.

1. What make/model is the pan?
2. Whats the cubic yard capacity of the pan?
3. Where would a model #/serial # be located?
4. Will this pan tear up the tractor or drawbar?
5. What would you guess this pan is worth in current condition?
6. Whats It worth with new Paint & Lines?
7. Parts availability such as wheel bearings?
